Well, i just went to see the hunger games movie.  I have been a fan of the series for as long as its been around.  I've always been one of the first with a copy of the book and have re-read each about 53 times.  However the movie to me, a die-hard fan fell really really short.  
THE BAD

1. The cornucopia: Its supposed to be a huge golden thing filled with goodies to help them survive. Not a crumpled metal umbrella/spaceship whatever the hell it is.
2.The mutts
-Jabberjays:No explanation on these WHATSOEVER, they aren't even mentioned
-Mockingjays:The only time they are brought up is when she gets the pin from greasy sae (wtf what about madge?) or when she and rue are doing their 4 note tune.
-Tracker Jackers-Honestly, these were alright, i expected them to be larger and maybe more brightly colored than just normal wasps, but other than that they are fine. The hallucination scene was pretty accurate so i give them that.
-Wolf/tribute mutts: These are supposed to be WOLVES not f***ing bear-pitbulls.  There were 3-4 that were chasing them and they did not have any of the tribute characteristics at all.  If they didn't have collars i could let it pass, but this was just lazy.  Re-color the pelts and the eyes and it would be fine. Since there only like 3 there should have been a Black wolf with brown eyes for rue, a blonde one with green eyes for glimmer, and a red one with green/blue (can't remember what color her eyes were at the moment) eyes for foxface. Honestly, this is the thing that really tipped me over the edge.  This was my favorite part and i was really really looking forwatrd to it TT^TT. No excuses for this, its just lazy and could have been fixed with a little color editing.
3. Too much seneca crane?:As you know, Seneca Crane is the head game-maker. Didn't play that crucial of a role in the book, played a huge role in the movie.  Pretty much every other scene was revolving around him.  There was more seneca than Cinna and Cato and Glimmer combined.
4. Iffy explanation on backstory: you see about 23 seconds of katniss's mom zoned out, and even less about her dad.  Anyone who didn't read the book would be extremely confused. Also, when peeta gives katniss the burn't bread you see 24 seconds spread out in about 5 places of her weak from hunger and him holding the bread.  8 seconds of the bread on the ground in about five places.  THATS IT!!!!! WTF????
5. President snow:like seneca he had a major role in the movie in about 8 different scenes, and i know he's supposed to be evil but he looked a bit like santa claus.  

THE GOOD-ISH PARTS
1. Good cast
2. Loved little rue, made me cry like a baby just like i did in the book.


I know this may seem like a bit much but as a die hard fan I can't believe these mistakes. ESPECIALLY THE CORNUCOPIA AND MUTTS I CAN'T AND WILL NOT GET OVER THAT.  I give this movie 4.8/10 and i only rate it that high because of Rue, I would also like to add I was the only one giving her the 3 finger salute when she died.  Plz spread this around so if this bothers you, you can save yourself and others from being as dissapointed as i was.
